Sara Raquel Ferreira da Costa, born in 1987 in Oliveira de Azeméis, Portugal, is a distinguished writer, translator, researcher, and university professor. With a degree in Oriental Studies and a Master's in Chinese Studies, Sara is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Portuguese Studies. She has extensive experience in teaching and translating, having lived in China for several years.
Sara’s book A Transfiguração da Fome won the Glória de Sant’Anna International Literary Prize in 2018. In 2021, she was awarded a Literary Creation Grant from the Portuguese government (DGLAB).
Sara is a board member of the Asia Pacific Writers & Translators (APWT) and has actively participated in various international literary festivals, including the International Istanbul Poetry Festival and the Script Road-Macau Literary Festival.
Sara's poetry and translations have been published in several languages and featured in literary journals worldwide. She has presented her work at numerous international events, establishing herself as a prominent voice in contemporary literature.
